im 20 years old and when i first found out i have herpes i cried my eyes out i knew somethimg was wrong when i went to shave i had a lot of pain and then the next day i had bumps then the next day i had blisters i couldnt even walk normally because of the extreme swelling i went in and saw my doctor the same saw and she took one look at it and said im sorry sweetie but u have herpes......i feel so ashamed and i cant even look at myself the same but i havent told my boyfriend of 2 years yet im very afraid that he would leave me if i told him this

Hang in there. I just took the test a few days ago and am awaiting results. From what I know and what I can see, I believe I may have been cursed as well with this disease. I have already had hsv1 orally (which I also don't know how I contracted 4 years ago). I was told that having it orally would decrease the chances of getting it genitally, but of course with my luck I probably have both now. I don't know how I will tell my boyfriend if this is positive, it will be the hardest conversation of our lives. But I believe the other partner deserves to know, as they had better get tested as well. If they really love us, they will get past this with us together. Good luck to you and god bless.

This is my story right now I feel like I will end up alone forever.

I'm not for sure yet but I was told the same thing by my doctor I received it from an older guy I dated.
