WHAT!?!?!?! I have herpes?!?!?!?!?

by Jacquie

I found out the other day that I have herpes. Im at 28 year old female. I was very drunk a few weeks ago and had sex with someone. With in not even a week I had red bumps and sores all over and around my rectum. I have gone and gotten tested they have told me, I now have type 1 herpes. I called the guy and told him, he tells me it cant be him. I havent been with anyone but him in 10 months. And never had anything like this before. I dont know what to do. Im not really getting any help from looking online or from Dr's. I thought or from what I have been reading Type 1 is in or on your mouth. How can I be a type 1 if it's on my butt?????

Skin disease/STD

The Herpes Virus affects the skin. Type I PREFERS to be on the mouth & Type II PREFERS to be on the genitals, but they can be spread to other places. They can even be on your hands, in your mouth, around/in your nose, your buttocks, labia, inside the vagina... It is possible the person you were with got it from someone who gave them oral sex while having HSV-I. He in turn passed it to you. It's the same type I, but it's in the genitals.

HELLO PEOPLE...herpes is NOT gender specific in any way, shape, or form. Women spread herpes JUST AS MUCH as men spread herpes.
