true story

a friend of mine and i years ago use to lay out in the sun. she had a cold sore on her lip. we use to rub tanning lotion on each other's back and legs. after that i started breaking out on my leg. i went to a dermatologist and was told it was herpes virus. i told him my story and he said yes it can happen that way.

i have been married for 18 yrs now and my husband doesn't have it. when i break out on my leg; i cover it with a large bandage. i know that i haven't had any kind of outbreak on my female private parts ever. so herpes travels along the nerve like the shape of a horseshoe. i will break out on the back of my legs and on my butt.

I can't believe the doctor told you that! I have never heard of this! Unless you allowed this woman to kiss all over you and u had a cut or lesion or something on your leg... I don't see this happening. What it sounds like u have is Shingles. Shingles is another form of Herpes that is NOT sexually transmitted. It is just like Chicken Pox. Anyone who has ever had Chicken Pox can possibly develop shingles later in life (usually around age 60 or so). It is unusual but not impossible/unheard of for younger people to develop it. I know 3 personally who are in their 20s-30s & have shingles. I really believe that is what u have, not HSV1 or 2. Also, if your friend had shingles, u could have gotten it from her.

Well hold on here if it was shingles you would only brake out one time. Go see doc one more ask what they think. God bless
