I lost my virginity when I was 18(I'm nineteen now) to my ex-boyfriend Shane. We only had sex that one time because he met someone else the day after. Anyways, I then met Steven a few weeks later. He was cute, funny, and at the time...I thought he was sweet. We ended up dating & I fell really hard for him. We had sex a lot while we were dating...especially without condoms because it supposedly felt better. Anyways, we dated for about four months. I ended it on our four month anniversary because I found out that he had been stealing money from my parents loan & from my savings account. Well, after that...we talked a little just as friends. However, something happened & then we stopped talking for a little while. Then a few weeks ago, he started trying to talk to me again. He asked me to come over last week because he really wanted to see me. (it's been over a month since we broke up. One thing led to another & we ended up having unprotected sex. I'm on the implanon implant, so I was protected that way, but not from any std's. Right after we had sex, I started burning pretty badly down there. Unfortunately, we had sex again a few days later without a condom as well. I also recently found out that he cheated on me the WHOLE time we were dating. Well, anyways..just yesterday I went to the doctor because I recently got sores around my vagina opening & it burns really badly when I pee. I was diagnosed with genital herpes. I started crying really badly in the doctors office. Why me? Why did this have to happen with me? I told my ex-boyfriend and he refuses to get tested for it. This just shows that you should never have sex with someone that you don't fully trust. Girls have warned me about him...saying that he was trying to talk to them, but I just blew them off & believed him. After all, I thought I loved him. I don't know exactly when I got infected because you can carry it for months and not know about it, but I do know it was him that gave it to me. This is why you shouldn't have sex with random people and that's exactly what he did. You never know what people may or may not have. People lie all the time.
