Person I was seeing told me she had herpes after we had sex 4 times.

I have had little burning on the skin that seems to be there only when I think about it. Not sure if it's in my head. The burning seems to be near the foreskin. It have been 6 months since we had sex and I have never seen any blisters or bumps.I plan to get tested and have since broken up with the person who had the herpes (for other reasons). Is the minor burning and the fact that I had unprotected sex with this woman many times after she told me enough to say there is a good chance I got herpes? She said she was taking Valt... and there was very little chance if any thar she would give it to me.

Chances are...

You have it. The burning sensations you are feeling are one of the many symptoms. There are a small percentage of people who never get blisters or sores, but still experience the burning & tingling sensations as well as a rash or redness. You should have stopped having sex with her immediately, got tested, & did your own research on whether she could pass it to you or not while taking Valtrex... you would have learned she was lying/wrong. That is hind sight. It is ALWAYS possible to spread this disease... even with a condom! I have it. I have done a ton of research. I abstain from sex for this reason & tell a person ONLY if it appears the relationship may turn physical. Otherwise, it is really not necessary to tell everyone.

This is to protect your privacy (and sanity) as well. From now on u must be absolutely vigilant, listen to your body & try to abstain from sex altogether. More importantly, if u haven't done so already, GET TESTED. It is not fair to stress yourself wondering when u can know for sure.
