No One Knows I have Herpes

by Lulu
(Australia)

No one knows I have herpes, not even my spouse. I have asymptomatic herpes and intend to keep things this way. I take the prescribed meds my physician administered to me.

Also, I do tell my husband that I do not want to engage in sexual intercourse if he is not wearing a condom. This is for the prevention of pregnancy, is what I told him. He does not know I have herpes. This is a secret I am living with and it is not easy.

The reason I have herpes, however, will probably kill my husband or break his heart. Thank you for this website, which has given me the courage to expose my secret to you, so that I never have to tell my husband.

I can't believe I'm reading this. I don't want to jump on you, but seriously... you are a married woman. Your husband should be your best friend. There should be no secrets (especially like this) between you two. How can u put him at risk like this? Don't u know you can still spread/contract Herpes even using a condom? I tell you what, it will be a terrible day if he finds out about your secret the hard way...

Eventually he will want to stop using the condoms. What happens when he decides, "Honey, I want to have kids now"??? Then what will you say? What will be your reason for the condom use, then? Think about it.
