My husband died of cancer 2yrs.ago and I have not been with any other personsperson

I had a place around my rectum that looked like a crack from and old stretch mark from pregnancy.I tryed everything, finally went to the DR..She said it looked like genital herpes.Had blood work done,but don't know results yet.What else could it be?It has never been in the form of a blister,just a split,not deep,no other symptom. It never scabs or gets dry.I'm completely destroyed.I'm 70 years and crushed,but also puzzled has to how I contacts genital herpes.I've never had a fever blister.

Actually, herpes can appear in the form of a cut/tear/laceration in the genitals or the anus. I have HSV2 & I get the bumps, redness & lacerations. They are super painful... trust me, it is all Herpes. The best thing, still is to wait for your results. I hope it is just a cut. Maybe dry skin or even eczema (which I also have in the genital area!)
