Just found out...

So I went to the ER on Monday because I had some vaginal itching and redness and I was concerned because I've never had anything like this before. The doctor diagnosed me with a UTI and a yeast infection. I was not convinced because I didn't have any burning with urination or discharge but I didn't question the doctor. He prescribed me antibiotics and diflucan and told me to come back if the symptoms dont get better in a couple days. So two days passed and the symptoms got worse, I had a lot of vaginal itching, burning and swelling. Needless to say I went back to the ER because the pain was unbearable, he took one look and said he thought it might be herpes but had to grab another doctor to be sure. They both agreed that it probably was and took a culture. I dont have classic symptoms, it seems like my entire vaginal area is swollen and red I dont have any sores, which is really frustrating because I'm still unsure if I really have it until the culture results come back.

My dilema is I have been seeing a new guy for the past 3 months and if I do have herpes he must have given it to me, do I ask him? I'm afraid to tell him, and I'm terrified to ask him. I really like this guy and am worried that he wont like me anymore. After reading about herpes it sounds like a lot of people dont have symptoms, what if he doesnt even know he has it? Why do I have to be the one to tell him? I'm just scared, worried and depressed...
