Thank you for making this site anonymous. I have herpes and have been living with this for years. For this reason, I am single and am soon going to be over the child-bearing age. I don’t care. I found out that I can pass this on to my child if I do have a child, and my husband if ever I do get a husband, which is unlikely since I don’t even date now, due to my condition. I got this from a one night stand that happened when I drank too much. The months after changed my life forever. I am crying now, and will need to repost more information another time. my partner did not notify me of anything. i was with him for about a year before we started having unprotected sex. later on i discovered that i had bumps around the opening of my vagina. i went to the doctor to not only discover that i had herpes but that i also had chlamydia and gonorhea. he had given me 3 std's all at one time. we have to protect ourselves. i as a young women have taken precautions to keep everyone that i can out of the same situation that i'm in. I have had little burning on the skin that seems to be there only when I think about it. Not sure if it's in my head. The burning seems to be near the foreskin.It have been 6 months since we had sex and I have never seen any blisters or bumps.I plan to get tested and have since broken up with the person who had the herpes (for other reasons). Is the minor burning and the fact that I had unprotected sex with this woman many times after she told me enough to say there is a good chance I got herpes? I was with my ex-boyfrined for five months, he never told me he has gentle herpes, I went to the doctors and found out! It was the worst day of my life! My frist brake out was the wrost, hurt when I went to the washroom screaming and crying because I was in so much pain, lost lots of weight! I didn't want people looking at me, I felt really drity and hated myself and HIM the most! He blamed me for it when he knew it was his fault! I know when I'm going to have a break out I stop eating until it happens, because I don't have an appitte! I tell the guy that I'm interested in right away just so he has the choice to like me or not! I've had gental herpes for almost 6 years in June it'll be 6 years! I have a great boyfriend now, we have to children and thank God that my babys don't have them I was so scared for them to get it but I've had normal birth with both of them! For over 20 years a man has had sex with many women unprotected. There is no telling how long he has had herpes. We have been in a relationship for 3 years and out of those 3 years I have had lesions between my thighs but never anything really harsh. I didnt know what they were or why they were there but ignored them. They are always along my panty line. They arent painful, red, blistery or anything like pictures I have seen. Just a circular blister/lesion. Taking for granted having sex with just who you want to unprotected is being selfish and not thinking about the other person. Luckily all I have is herpes and not anything worse than that. I am very emotionally upset over this and wish I had someone to talk to but am embarrased. I do call my doctors office and ask them questions when I think of something I dont understand. My boyfriend needs to be tested but feels if I have it, he has it. I did a test to see what would happen. I had unprotected sex with him and 2 days later a new sore appeared on my panty line. He has no lesions or bumps anywhere and doesnt understand why, I guess because his symptoms are lying dormant. I just want to throw out there to all women of all ages who are sexually active, do not trust anyone, when having sex - STRAP one on. Now I have to live with this for the rest of my life because I have 1 & 2 which 2 is uncurable. I do take Valtrax during outbreaks but am still confused about the whole situation. I am trying to find a place where I can attend a class on herpes. I hope this story encourages people to protect themselves because you never when something like will happen to you. God Bless. I thought it was a common yeast infection until I noticed some blisters and it was nothing I had felt before. Went to the doctor that day and confirmed the worst.
