I was told......

10 years ago I started a relationship with a guy. He told me that he had herpes. I was humbled by his ability to be honest with me so we stayed together. I just now had my first outbreak that I am aware of. I am not happy about it but at least I knew what I was getting into and made the decision to take the risk. We are still together and I love him no matter what. Btw, he got it from a girl in high school who didn't tell him until he already had it. I just pray that all of you are able to find someone who loves you for you and can get past this. :-)

Dear i was told,
I just started seeing this encreadable nice guy for 3 dates now. He enformed me he has herpies. I really respect him telling me. But i dont know what to do. I keep visions in my mind on how we would have to avoid me getting it. That really dont help with me wanting to have a sexuall relationship. Guess im scared... How can i get past this and love him like i could?

If it truly bothers you, remember it is YOUR body. You alone have the decision of what you want to expose yourself to, now that he has told you. Be glad he did! Respect his honesty, but you have to be honest with yourself. Trust me, it would make him feel worse if you stayed with him but acted funny every time intamacy occurred. Trust me, I know 1st hand. I told my ex b/f & he stayed but eventually stopped being intimate with me, (never admitted it, but) I knew why. We broke up in March 2010.

Trust me, HSV is NOT fun to have & it is truly the "gift that keeps on giving". Think long and hard about this, then make a decision. I hope you make the best decision for you. God bless.
