Husband found out he had it 8 years ago.

While my husband was in Oregon, last month, I developed a horrible pain. At the same time, as it turns out, he was having a bad Herpes outbreak. When he returned he had to tell me the truth, seeing as how I now had it. My problem is with the fact that, when he had his one and only other outbreak, 8 years ago, he went to his physician father for a diagnosis and was put on Valtrex. How could he not tell me back then? We had been together for 5 years at that time. 3 years ago he married me. He still didn't tell me. He didn't tell me until he had suceeded in giving it to me. He did not give me a chance to take Valtrx. The story has much worse elements to it, but that is an issue best left for therapy.
